Ignored Virtues vs. Traditional Virtues (1)

According to Catholic doctrine, there are seven virtues and seven deadly sins:

Humility vs. Pride
Generosity vs. Greed
Chastity vs. Lust
Patience vs. Anger
Temperance vs. Gluttony
Charity vs. Envy
Diligence vs. Sloth

According to Freemasonry, there are seven fundamental values or cardinal virtues:

Filial Love
Reverence for Sacred Things
Courtesy
Friendship
Fidelity
Purity
Patriotism

According to the Greek philosopher Plato, there are four virtues:

Wisdom
Courage (or Fortitude)
Temperance
Justice

According to the human values established in Western culture, there are ten virtues (often referred to as “human values”):

Kindness
Sincerity
Empathy
Love
Patience
Gratitude
Forgiveness
Humility
Responsibility
Solidarity

In my view, for any rational person, all these “virtues” or “human values” are positive qualities that should be present in each and every one of us. But I wonder: Are these all the virtues that exist, or are there others? Are the ten human values the complete list? What about Plato’s four? Or the seven from Freemasonry or Christianity?

Well, I’m about to surprise you because, in my opinion, there are five more virtues that no one mentions—five “ignored virtues.” Want to know what they are?…

A chance encounter will take him far away, on a thrilling adventure full of action and emotion that will change his life... but also the lives of everyone around him…
