There are virtues everyone would love to possess,
others that some people might want—at least at certain points in their
lives—and then there are those… that no one ever wishes to have. A prime
example of the latter is the virtue of “being a loser.” But let’s not be
fooled—being a loser is a virtue with tremendous merit. Allow me to
explain:
When someone loses, it’s because someone else wins. In
other words, the loser, through their suffering and disappointment, is making
another person happy. And isn’t making others happy one of the most beautiful
things in the world? So, here’s the takeaway: every time you lose, feel glad,
because you’ve brought joy to someone else. If only the world were full of
losers, and we all held competitions like those from our childhood—remember the
“winner-loses” games? Those bicycle races where the winner was the one who
crossed the finish line last, all while keeping their balance and, of course,
never touching the ground with their feet.
